Damen Signs A Cooperation Protocol With Baheya

Damen signed a cooperation protocol with Baheya Foundation for early detection and treatment of breast cancer for women free of charge, according to which the company collects the Foundation’s donations through its electronic platform, where cash donations will be received directly from customers through Daman machines and give the donor an electronic receipt for the amount of the donation.

Dr. Tamer El-Hussainy, Chief Executive Officer of Damen, praised the important role played by the Baheya Foundation for the early detection and free treatment of breast cancer for women, which helps many Egyptian women to detect the disease early, which is considered one of the most important factors that help in recovery, in addition to the great effort made by the Foundation to assist female warriors in all medical and psychological aspects, asserting that this protocol is part of the company’s social responsibility projects.

He stressed that civil society institutions and non-profit organizations that adopt the principles of digital transformation are a strategic partner in the company’s growth journey, as well as being the beginning of cooperation to open other areas of support between Daman and Baheya.

Dr. Gilan added that such cooperation will facilitate the supporters of Baheya by facilitating the donation process through Damen, where the Damen takes over the collection of the Foundation’s donations through its electronic platform, and cash donations are received directly from customers through Damen machines and give the donor an electronic receipt in the amount of donate to the Foundation.

She stressed that the Baheya Foundation seeks to keep pace with the digital transformation adopted by the state in all its sectors and to automate all its services in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 and to facilitate donors to support Baheya Hospital, based on its strong belief in the necessity of supporting women, who are the pillar of the Egyptian family.

She explained that Baheya is always working to use donations to implement new expansions with the aim of receiving a larger number of cancer fighters and reassuring thousands of women, coinciding with the state’s efforts towards providing more health services and medical convoys at the level of the Republic.

It is worth noting that the Baheya Foundation is a charitable organization specialized in early detection and treatment of breast cancer for women free of charge, operating since 2015 and has succeeded in receiving more than 186 thousand cases since its opening until now. Its Accomplishments in providing treatment services varied between performing 44,523 radiological sessions and 21,477 chemotherapy sessions in addition nearly 3,490 operations, and to complement this effort, Baheya aims to completely eliminate waiting lists.

Damen was established in 2018 with the aim of providing electronic payment solutions at the level of financial transactions that concern individuals and institutions, and providing services to financial institutions within the framework of the Egyptian government’s initiative for financial inclusion programs.

The company has more than 23 branches across the governorates of Egypt, and provides more than 500 electronic payment and collection services through the Daman Payments platform, such as donations to charities, charging electricity cards, gas bills, paying mobile phone and landline bills, and aims to work with more than 100,000 merchants all over Egypt.
