Sameh El Mallah has become CEO of Damen for E-payments starting from Jan 2024, Leading the company towards new horizons, setting the strategic direction of the company and overseeing its all operations.
He is known for his strong leadership skills, inspiring teams to achieve exceptional results and fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity and excellence.
Prior to this position, He led ACT as its Chief Executive Officer, steering the company to unlock its full potential in the Egyptian market. He took the helm in March 2020, bringing a clear mission to guide ACT towards new heights. Before assuming his pivotal role at ACT, Sameh served as the CEO of Silicon Waha, a prominent Joint Stock Company (JSC) with a visionary goal of establishing Science and Technology Parks in Egypt's second-tier cities.
This innovative initiative aimed to harness the untapped potential of Egypt's youth, fostering innovation and technological progress for the greater good of society. Sameh's journey through the tech landscape includes a significant tenure as the Intel, Egypt & Levant region Managing Director. His leadership was evident in building bridges between government entities, non-government organizations, education content providers, and global and local industries.
Previously, he served as Business Development Manager and Commercial Business Lead for Intel Corporation, where he played a pivotal role in influencing governments across Egypt and North Africa to embrace ICT adoption in various sectors, including healthcare and education.
This left an indelible mark on the country's technological infrastructure.
Before his association with Intel in 2008, Sameh held the role of Country Manager for Raya Algeria and led large-scale IT system integration projects in Egypt.
His professional narrative also includes a significant stint in the telecommunications realm, serving as the General Manager of Raya Networks Services. His tenure at Siemens, Egypt, from 1999 to 2011, witnessed the orchestration of nationwide fixed telecommunications networks, marking yet another milestone in his illustrious career.
His influence extends beyond corporate borders. Sameh is Vice President of the Chamber of Information Technology & Telecommunication (CIT).
Additionally, he holds a seat on the board of the Digital Economy and Technology General Division (DETGD).
He is a distinguished member of AmCham, further solidifying his influence and connections within the professional landscape. Born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1966, Sameh's journey is firmly rooted in his homeland.
He earned his bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering from Ain Shams University and an MBA in Finance and International Business from the esteemed Arab Maritime Academy of Management.1
